Providence, aiming to enrich the creative, collaborative, and intellectual minds of students, offers a variety of clubs and activities related to the arts.
Clubs
DRAMA CLUB
GRADES 7-12
The St. Genesius Guild offers students the opportunity to explore and grow in the dramatic arts. Drama provides an irreplaceable means of developing confidence, public speaking, poise, emotional formation, camaraderie, and a deeper understanding of literature (all of which are elements of the rhetoric stage of education). In a play, students don't just analyze or study a work of art, they live it. Furthermore, members can gain practical knowledge of what it takes to put on a production, both on stage and behind the scenes. Drama club is led by faculty members with acting experience and includes a range of activities, from informative videos and acting exercises to skits and full-length plays.
SCHOLA
GRADES 6-12
A voice ensemble open to students by audition. Schola members practice two mornings a week preceding school and sing at Mass twice a week. Several additional opportunities are available for the group to perform and share their vocal gifts with the community.
CROCHET CLUB
GRADES 6-12
A club open to students interested in the fiber medium crochet. Members will learn and practice different crochet techniques and enhance their skills in the craft.
CHESS CLUB
GRADES 9-12
A club open to students interested in the intricacies of chess, in which members can face off and improve their strategy.
YEARBOOK COMMITTEE
GRADES 9-12
A club for students to assist with the assembly of the upper school yearbook. Through this club, students get the opportunity to strengthen their skills in photography, graphic design, writing, interviewing, and leadership. The project is year-long, and assignments are given based on student interests and availability.
STUDENT COUNCIL
GRADES 9-12
A council of students interested in honing their leadership skills by collaborating, planning, and running school events.
Annual Art Events
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
ALL GRADES
Held every December, this performance is the children’s first opportunity to display their musical skills, while celebrating Christ’s birth. A social gathering follows the program, allowing Providence families to enter into the season of Christmas as a community.
WINTER PLAY
GRADES 4-12
Students are invited to participate in the annual winter play produced by the drama club.

ALL GRADES
A Spring Concert that showcases students' talent through music and art.
SPRING ART SHOW
ALL GRADES
Students submit art projects that were completed throughout the year to be displayed under various categories in the upper school building.
