Tuition
Providence Academy is affordable to all students. Tuition is based on a family’s ability to pay and financial aid is available to assist families as needed. Families will also have the opportunity to support the school in the form of volunteer hours.
2010-2011 Tuition Rates
Providence Academy’s tuition rates for 2010-2011 are listed below. All families are required to pay the minimum tuition. Anyone who is unable to pay the minimum tuition is able to apply for financial assistance through FACTS (www.factstuitionaid.com). All applications for tuition assistance through FACTS must be completed by April 30, 2010. Any amount paid above the minimum tuition is considered tax-deductible.
Pre-Kindergarten
Actual Cost - $1930.00
Minimum Tuition Required - $1500.00 (Financial Assistance is not available for Pre-K)
K-8th Grade
Actual Cost - $5670.00
Minimum Tuition Required - $3190.00 (First Student), $2290.00 (Second Student), $1780.00 (Third Student)
Upper School (9th - 12th)
Actual Cost - $7725.00
Minimum Tuition Required - $4480.00 (First Student), $3810.00 (Second Student), $3090.00 (Third Student)
Uniforms
The Providence Academy school uniform standard seeks to achieve an age appropriate, modest and professional appearance for its students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Twelve.
Pre-Kindergarten Uniform Standards
Boys’ Uniform
Boys are to wear the following Dennis Uniform items:
- Dennis khaki pants
- Dennis white oxford shirt (long or short sleeve)
- Dennis khaki socks (Note: White socks are not allowed)
- Dennis sweater, OPTIONAL
Other required uniform items include the following:
- Black leather belt
- Black dress shoes that can be polished
Girls’ Uniform
Girls are to wear the following Dennis Uniform items:
- Dennis plaid jumper
- Dennis white Peter Pan collared blouse (long or short sleeve)
- Dennis socks or tights
- Dennis Navy bike shorts when wearing socks
- Dennis cardigan sweater, OPTIONAL
- Dennis hair accessories, OPTIONAL
Other required uniform items include the following:
- Black Mary Jane shoes that can be polished
Lower School Uniform Standard (Kindergarten through 5th Grade)
Boys’ Uniform
Boys are to wear the following Dennis uniform items:
- Dennis khaki pants
- Dennis khaki socks (Note: White socks are not allowed)
- Dennis white oxford shirt (long or short sleeve)
- Dennis tie (K-4 may use clip on tie, 5-8 must wear a regular tie)
- Dennis navy v-neck sweaters and vests, OPTIONAL
Other required uniform items include the following:
- Land’s End navy blazer with embroidered Providence Academy logo (NOTE: order through school office)
- Black leather belt
- Black shoes that can be polished
Girls’ Uniform
Girls are to wear the following Dennis uniform items:
- Dennis plaid jumper or skirt
- Dennis red tie when wearing a skirt,
- Dennis white Peter Pan collared blouse (long or short sleeve)
- Dennis bike shorts when wearing socks
- Dennis socks or tights
- Dennis navy cardigan sweater, OPTIONAL
- Dennis hair accessories, OPTIONAL
Other required uniform items include the following:
- Black “Mary Jane” shoes that can be polished
Upper School Uniform Standard (6th through 12th Grades)
Boys
The high school boys’ uniform is the same as the Kindergarten through 8th grade boys’ uniform with the exception that they are to wear a Dennis Ivy League striped tie instead of the plaid tie.
Girls
Girls are to wear the following Dennis uniform items:
- Dennis box-pleated skirt (knee length)
- Dennis white ¾ length sleeve blouse
- Dennis tights or socks
- Dennis navy bike shorts (worn with socks)

- Dennis v-neck sweater vest and cardigan, OPTIONAL
- Dennis hair accessories (other hair accessories must be simple and may only be white, black, red, navy, or silver in color)
Other required uniform items include the following:
- Black “Mary Jane” shoes, flat black shoes or black shoes with heels no taller than 1 inch that can be polished
Note: All uniform items except the Boys Blazers and Husky shirts are to be purchased from Dennis Uniform (www.dennisuniform.com & 651-702-0606) or through Providence Academy's uniform exchange program. The Blazer and Husky shirts are to be purchased from Land’s End (landsend.com and school code: 90000-65962).
Other Dress Code Requirements:
Boys:
- May not wear any jewelry or religious items outside of their shirts.
- Only one religious pin may be worn on their blazers.
- Shirts are to be properly tucked in and buttoned including the top neck button.
- Fingernails must be clean and of modest length.
- Hair must be neat, clean, conservatively styled and natural in color. Hair must be worn off the collar and out of the eyes.
Girls:
- May wear a simple and tasteful religious necklace outside of their blouses.
- Only one religious pin may be worn on their sweaters.
- Blouses must be properly buttoned. They also must be tucked in to the skirt when worn with a vest or cardigan.
- Only one simple stud earring may be worn per ear lobe. Hoop, dangling, or large earrings are not allowed.
- No noticeable makeup. Makeup must be applied tastefully and must be natural looking in appearance.
- Fingernails must be clean and of modest length. Only clear or flesh colored polish may be worn.
- Hair must be neat, clean, conservatively styled and natural in color. Hair must be pulled back or otherwise held off the face.
Both Boys and Girls:
- A single, simple ring may be worn.
- A simple watch, without alarm or calculator, is allowed.
- No outerwear or spirit wear is authorized to be worn inside during the school day without proper approval.
- Undergarments worn under shirts or blouses must be white or neutral in color, and free of any visible wording or design.
- All clothing items must be clean, pressed and in good repair. All buttons are to be intact at all times.
